Fluoridation puts Edmonton ahead of Calgary in child dental health, study finds By Keith Gerein, Edmonton Journal, Edmonton Journal Rates of childhood tooth decay have increased faster in Calgary than in Edmonton the past decade, says a new provincewide study in which researchers link the disparity to Calgary’s decision to stop fluoridating its water. “Our results show that even after a relatively short period of time, we have seen a negative effect of removing fluoride from the drinking water,” said Lindsay McLaren, a public health researcher at the University of Calgary and lead author of the study. “It’s one piece… Read more »
At Wolf Willow Dental… we love our patients as much as we love our animals. Many of our staff have 4 legged loving members in their families, so it is an easy decision to want to help organizations that support, love and care for animals that need help. Recently a patient of ours, requested some much needed items, for a trip to Mexico, where she has volunteered numerous times to rescue and be a part of a solution to an overwhelming problem often seen across continents. IN THE NEWS……… Recently a patient from our office (Faye Holmberg) involved in ” Peace Through Service” an international quest of the Rotary Club traveled to Guanazan, Ecuador. It was our pleasure to donate toothbrushes and toothpaste to be distributed to school children in the area and we appreciate the photos she sent us. “Each of us has a spark in life inside us, and our highest endeavours ought to be to set off that spark in one another.” Kenny Ausubel
